01 · Sorting
Never categorize a transaction again.
Bank statements are written for banks, not people. Foundation’s AI names every merchant, files it in the right category and learns from every correction you make.

02 · Budgeting
Your budget, drafted for you.
Foundation’s AI reads your last three months, plans for your bills and goals, and drafts next month. You look it over, tweak what you like, and tap accept.
- Built from real life
- Plans start from what you actually spend, not what you wish you spent.
- Bills and goals first
- Rent, subscriptions and savings are planned before anything is spare.
- A coach, not a lecture
- Saving for something? It shows exactly what to trim, and by how much.
- Keeps itself current
- Each time your accounts sync, the plan updates, so it never goes stale.
03 · Saving
It finds money you didn’t know you were losing.
Foundation’s AI watches every account for price hikes, double charges, idle cash and spending that’s crept up, and tells you exactly what each one is worth.

About $120 a month above your usual since the summer.
- $360/yr
Cash is sitting idle
About $9,000 more than a month of bills sits in checking at 0.01%. At a typical 4% high-yield rate, that’s about $360 a year.

Up $15 this month, the second increase this year. Worth a call.

04 · Answers
Ask before you spend.
Thinking about a trip, a new car or a bigger place? Ask the way you’d ask a friend who knows your finances, and get a straight answer from your own numbers.
- Straight answers
- A clear number instead of a lecture, with the transactions behind it.
- What-ifs
- See how a raise, a move or a new car changes the plan before you commit.
- Knows your life
- Mention the new job or the baby on the way once; it plans around it.
- Private
- Your data is never sold, and it never trains anyone else’s AI models.

Questions, answered.
What is Foundation?
Foundation is an AI-native personal finance app. It connects your bank, card, loan and investment accounts, sorts every transaction automatically, drafts a monthly budget from your real spending, and tells you what’s safe to spend, for individuals and households.
How does Foundation use AI?
AI does the busywork: it cleans up and categorizes every transaction, detects your bills and paychecks, drafts your monthly budget from your real spending, spots ways to save, and answers questions about your money in plain English.
Does the AI change anything without asking?
It sorts transactions and drafts plans automatically. Anything that changes your budget or goals waits for your OK, and everything can be undone. It can never move money: connections are read-only.
What does “safe to spend” mean?
It’s an estimate of the money left in your spending accounts once your card balance, the bills due before the month ends, the goals you’re funding and the spending you’ve planned are accounted for. It updates every time your accounts sync.
How much does Foundation cost?
$7 a month or $60 a year. There’s one plan with every feature, and your partner joins at no extra cost.
Is it safe to connect my bank?
Yes. Connections go through Plaid, the service behind most US finance apps, and are read-only: Foundation can see balances and transactions but can never move money, and never sees your bank password.
Which banks work with Foundation?
More than 12,000 US banks, credit unions, card issuers and brokerages, including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, American Express, Fidelity, Schwab and Vanguard. You can also add cash, property and equity grants by hand.
How is Foundation different from Monarch, Copilot or YNAB?
Foundation does more of the work. It drafts your budget instead of asking you to build one, suggests rules from your corrections, works out what’s safe to spend, and answers questions in plain English. And it costs less than Monarch, Copilot or YNAB.
Can my partner use it too?
Yes, free. Invite your partner to your household and you’ll share accounts and one budget, each with your own sign-in. Accounts can be kept private, and anyone can be given read-only access.
I used Mint. Will Foundation feel familiar?
Yes. Everything Mint showed you (all your accounts, categories, budgets, bills and net worth) is here, without the ads and card offers, plus AI that keeps it tidy for you. You can import your old Mint export, too.
Is there a mobile app?
Foundation works on the web, iPhone and Android, with the same numbers everywhere.
Build on solid ground.
Connect your accounts and let AI do the rest. $7 a month, your whole household included.
